Why We Our Love For The Best Robot Vacuum For Pet Hair (And You Should Also!)

Best Robot Vacuum For Pet Hair

The best robot vacuum cleaner for pet hair will be able to pull a lot of suction and brushes that don't get caught in hair of pets. It should also come with an intelligent app and the ability to set no-go zones.

In my tests I conducted, the iRobot J7+ got top marks in removing cat and dog hair on hardwood floors. It also has an unique obstacle avoidance function that can detect cords and socks and then veer around them.

1. Eufy RoboVac G30

A relative newcomer to the robot vacuum market, Eufy has gotten good reviews for its slim designs that scoot under low furniture. The G30 is slightly larger than the company's 11S model but still extremely slim, and it offers more suction power and a mopping feature into an overall package that's less than three inches tall. It also comes with an area for charging that keeps the charging base hidden when not in use.

The G30 runs the app that is utilized by many of the other robotic devices from Eufy. It's a simple application compared to those of some more expensive competitors, however it does come with some useful features. For instance, a single tap of the Settings menu allows you to share the control of the G30 with others in your household. The robot can play a loud song to aid in finding it. This is useful in the event that the robot is stranded under a couch or if it runs out of the room.

One of the most important aspects to consider when selecting the best robot vacuum is its ability to pick up pet hair. The G30 excelled in this area, effortlessly catching and removing long and short hairs of cats and dogs from our test floors. It even sucked up clumps dried cat food that the previous Roomba 675 struggled with.

The G30 has two options to perform more specific cleaning tasks: Spot and Edge. The second allows you to draw a box around a portion of the floor that the robot will vacuum in for up to two minutes. The first does the exact as the second, but it stops between each time to avoid overloading its dustbin.

Like all robotic vacuums, the G30 creates a map when it cleans it and saves it in its memory. It doesn't provide other navigational features that are smart, such as room labeling or establishing virtual no-go zones. It is possible to set boundary lines with the app, but these were more like suggestions than hard boundaries. The G30 is a sophisticated and powerful robot vacuum that comes at a low cost.

2. Neato D9

The Neato D9 robot vacuum cleaner has a bigger brush and a better dust bin. It also comes with smart LIDAR mapping to clean corners effectively. It comes with sensors integrated and a docking station that performs charging functions.

The D9 is a significant improvement over the entry level D8 that offers double the run time and improved mapping. It also features a multi-surfaced brush that is more sophisticated and a high-performance filter system that can be able to capture finer particles, such as pet fur as well as other particles, that standard filters cannot.

In our lab tests carpets and hard floors performed well. It also had one of the longest battery lives, allowing it to cover a large area before needing a recharge. The D9 does not come with a control remote however it can be operated manually by pressing the power button or through the MyNeato App (available on Android and iOS) or by using voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant.

The D9's LIDAR onboard can help the robot identify and clean your home in a sensible way that is free of obstacles. This helps to make your home cleaner. However, its size can prevent it from getting under some furniture and tables, so it's not a good choice for homes with precious antiques or collectables. It can also climb up the legs of chairs or lamp bases, that could damage the objects or cause them to fall.

Like the other models in the D series, the D9 has a very wide brush that can pick up dirt and debris on the edges of rooms. It also comes with the turbo mode to deal with pet hair and dirt that is heavy on carpets. In our tests, the D9 proved to be very efficient on hard flooring and did an excellent job of removing pet hair on carpets and floors that were not bare. The D9 is equipped with a HEPA filter that removes small particles that can trigger allergies or asthma. The D9 is easy to set up and use, using the MyNeato app making it simple to create zones that are targeted at problematic areas, like food particles under the table, or no-go zones that limit the area that robots can move, like narrow hallways.

3. iLife V3s Pro

The iLife V3s Pro is one of the best robot vacuums for pet hair on hard floors. It can also navigate stairs and other obstacles. It comes with mopping functions. Its slim design makes it easy to fit under furniture, allowing it access to the dirt and hair of pets in places that are difficult to reach. The auto-charging feature saves time when the battery is low. It will return to its dock. It can be controlled via an app or by using the remote control.

iLife V3s Pro has many of the same features of the more expensive models, but is priced less than half. It is able to tackle carpeting, stone, and low-pile flooring as well as various tile and hardwood floors. It can be programmed to clean on a regular basis and will continue to do this even if you're away from home. Smart sensors stop it from falling or scratching furniture legs. Its pearl white finish is sleek and blends well with many styles of decor. It's low enough to fit under beds and sofas.

While its meager motor doesn't offer the same amount of power as more expensive models, it can work quickly and efficiently to get rid of pet hair and other debris from hard floors. The V3s Pro is also capable of cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and other rooms on an everyday basis.

While it doesn't come with a rotating brush The V3s Pro has a 3-inch suction opening that funnels debris into the dustbin. Two brushes with three-spoke bristles are placed on either side to release the crumbs and other particles before being swept away.

The iLife V3s Pro has a cleaning performance that is comparable to that of the Roomba from iRobot and Eufy RoboVac. Comparing its results from lab tests to other robot vacuums with similar specifications they were in the middle. It completed a test run in 1 hour 31 minutes and 1 seconds it was somewhat slower than the iRobot Roomba or the Shark Ion R85. It did an excellent job of cleaning pet hair and other debris off the floor, but it struggled with high-pile, thick carpeting and rugs.

4. Deebot X2 Omni

Ecovacs' X2 Omni robot vacuum and mop is not the latest model, however it's an excellent choice to clean pet hair. It is designed to clean both carpets and floors with rotating washing pads soaked in hot water at 131 degrees to aid in getting rid of dirt and pet hair. This is a unique feature other robots do not have which makes the Deebot stand out from the crowd.

The robot is also adept at avoiding obstacles. It was able to avoid furniture legs, pet toys, and even poop when tested. The X2 Omni's built-in camera records its obstacles which allows you to enjoy a hands-free experience.

Owners love the ease of use and performance, despite being more expensive than iRobot Combo j7+. The only issue with the X2 is that it needs an internet connection to work, which can be a problem for some households.

The X2 Omni is very easy to install. It comes with a side brush that is pre-installed and mopping pads which makes it a plug-and-play machine. It is also one of the quietest robotic vacuums that we have tested.

Another feature that is unique to the X2 Omni is its all-in-one OMNI Station. This docking system is unique in that it can automatically store dust, allergens and debris for up to 60 days.  best robot vacuum for pet hair self-emptying  and replenishes the mop's supply to be ready for the next cleaning job. This makes sure that the mops are always working on a clean and fresh surface, preventing bacteria from growing.

The X2 Omni is also equipped with a new YIKO voice control that allows you to give the robot commands like "move forward, clean here", or advanced schedules. It also comes with an 960p camera that can be activated through the app at any point to monitor the house.
